Biography

Guga Maragna's culinary adventure began at the Instituto de Educação Superior de Brasília. He further honed his skills at the Institute of Hotel and Tourism in Perth, Australia, where he also worked at the esteemed Parmelia Hilton Perth. But the world was his oyster, and Guga explored the culinary landscapes of countries like South Korea and Thailand. Here, he taught, worked in various hotels and restaurants, and amassed a wealth of experience.

However, it was in Guatemala where Guga truly found his sweet calling. Immersing himself in the rich Mayan culture, he developed a profound interest in the origins of chocolate production and began studying cocoa's medicinal properties. This newfound passion led him back to Brazil, where he embarked on a mission to sweeten people's lives. Since 2016, he's been dedicatedly crafting chocolates under his brand, Rubato.

But Guga's journey doesn't end with chocolates. He's a gastronomic consultant and is deeply invested in research that promotes the use of native cerrado species in gastronomy.
